Geometric optical contrasted harmony and other color schemes
"No. 19" Eight rectangles with different color scheme types are painted in watercolors, each measuring 10 x 7 cm. The headings on the rectangles read: Geometric optical contrasted harmony; Conventional optical double split complement; Naturalistic optical double split complement; Naturalistic optical analogous (spelled analagous on the painting); Abstract optical triad; Geometric rosette mono-chromatic; Conventional bi-symmetric (consistently spelled bi-symmetric on the painting); Split complement; Naturalistic bi-symmetric complementary harmony; and Abstract bi-symmetric perfected harmony. A typewritten note has been adhered to the lower section of the sheet giving the students directives on drawing methods and the use of the paint.

The watercolor is of a girandole mirror; a convex mirror, circular in shape. The frame is gold and brown, and the top of it has an eagle with its wings spread out and an ornate floral design on either side., Mounted on the same piece of covered cardboard as BC-0098, BC-0099, and BC-0100. The board has a label from the Institute adhered to the bottom left hand corner of the watercolor with \Aid to lessons 41, 42a, 42b, and 43\ typed in red.

The Great American Melting Pot
"Rockville, MD." "Date: Apr. 27, '79." Scale 1/4 in to 1 ft. Four technical drawings are stapled together with a cover, showing the logo of the restaurant, and a fifth page listing the furnishings and millwork information. The first drawing shows the floor plan for the restaurant and the placement of the furniture. It includes: a men's room; a ladies' room; a service area; a bar area; dining tables; chairs; barstools; and an office. The second drawing shows the electrical plan and the legend for the outlets, telephone and intercom, wall sconces, ceiling lights, etc. The third and fourth drawings show the interior elevation and glass etchings. The last page gives the furniture and furniture information, millwork information, and paint information. The information includes manufacture, description, and model numbers.

The second drawing shows the electrical plan and the legend for the outlets, fire alarm, track lighting, etc. The third and fourth drawings show interior elevation, and the next page lists the furniture and furnishings along with the manufacturer and model numbers. The last page to the fifth drawing and it shows graphic elevation and the millwork description, manufacturer, and model numbers.
Greek and Roman mouldings
The institute's name and address have been stamped in the upper right cover. Torn from sketchbook with the spiral at the top. A column of seven examples of Roman moldings are drawn beside each other. The Greek examples include: fillet; fascia; scotia; cyma recta; cyma reversa with water leaf; ovolo with egg and dart; and torus. The Roman examples include: bead; cavetto; scotia; cyma recta; cyma reversa; quarter round with egg and dar; and torus. The columns of drawings only cover the left two-thirds of the sheet.
