The furniture includes: a sofa, dropleaf tables, side tables, tripod tables, a kneehole writing or dressing table, a highboy, bookshelves, and chairs. The doors with molding and paneling, wallpaper, mantel clock, chandelier, wall mirrors, windows and draperies, carpet, a fireplace with andirons, and painting above the fireplace are also shown.

"Lesson 40." One of three separate works painted by students, mounted on the same piece of heavy cardboard measuring 77 x 56. The watercolor shows a bowl, possibly made of brass, with an arrangement of pink carnations. The bowl is sitting on a piece of cloth shaped like a place mat which is on the table. The background is the wall which is off-white on the left side of the bowl and shades of light to medium green on the right side of the bowl., Mounted on the same piece of covered cardboard as BC-0094 and BC-0096

"Lesson 46" Three rectangles, each representing two or more different types of window treatment, and 8 small rectangles showing wood and marble samples, are painted in watercolors. The drawings are labeled: Brocade; Ninon; Satin; Printed cotton; Taffeta; Modern (Thai silk); Organdy; Burled rosewood; Gum; Kerf-sawed pine (silver-grey stain); Quarter-sawed oak; and Marble. The window treatments also show examples of the use of sheer curtains, cafe curtains, shutters, and Venetian blinds.
Building located at 2010 Massachusetts Ave., NW
Scale 1/4 in to 1 ft. Floor plans for the basement and four floors of the building stapled together, the first drawing serving as the cover. The first drawing is of the basement and the rooms include: a furnace room; storage areas; an elevator; stairs; a recreation room; a men's room with shower; the old kitchen; a possible locker room; possible ladies' room; possibly supply room; and possible snack room. The second drawing shows the first floor, including: classrooms; a branch library to Mrs. Boldt's in R. St. resident; a men's room; stairs; and an elevator. The third drawing shows the second floor, including: a ladies' room; a teachers' room; a cloak room; stairs; an elevator; partitions to be removed; and an all gas fireplace. The fourth drawing shows the third floor with only the stairs, an elevator, a bath room, and fire escape doors shown. The fifth drawing shows the fourth floor, or attic, with only the stairs and elevator marked. The writing on the sheet indicates that it is a "skylight slant roof attic, no present plans for use."

"Lesson 31" watercolor of a young boy's profile, neck and head only. The work is painted in shades of gray.
Cabinet design
Scale 1/2 in to 1 ft. The paper is torn in several places along the right side. Plan view, side view, front view, and perspective drawing of a cabinet. The cabinet has a set of double doors on the left and three drawers on the right. The first drawer is twice the size of either of the other two drawers and may actually be a hinged cover that drops down to form a writing surface. The dimensions of the cabinet are also given.
[Candleholder and candle]
"Lesson 41." One of the three separate works painted by students, mounted on the same piece of heavy cardboard measuring 77 x 56. The watercolor is of a single white candle in a candleholder, possibly made of brass. The candleholder has a round base with a short stem up to a drip. There is a longer stem from the drip the candle itself. The candleholder is in shades of gold and brown, giving a sense of shading., Mounted on the same piece of covered cardboard as BC-0095 and BC-0094
The Celestial Gardens
The watercolor shows the laid-out elevation of the Celestial Gardens, an oriental restaurant. Three separate walls are shown and labeled A through C and the letters are repeated on the floor plan to show their placement. The use of dragons for decoration, paintings of people in oriental clothing, and cane and grass type materials give the restaurant an oriental atmosphere.

The paper is torn at the top left and bottom right corners. Plan view, side view, front view, and section drawing of an armchair. The chair appears to be made out of wood, and the legs curve to form an "x" and continue up to become the support for the armrest. The chair has an upholstered cushion, vertical slats, and a rounded back. The height, width, and depth of the chair are marked to the drawings.

Chandelier
M.B. Morehead '72 "Problem 41" One of four separate works painted by Mitchell Moorehead, mounted on the same piece of heavy cardboard measuring 77 x 56. The watercolor shows a chandelier, possibly brass, with 4 curved branches. It is an electric chandelier painted in shades of gold and brown, with bulbs painted like candle flames., Mounted on the same piece of covered cardboard as BC-0098, BC-0099, and BC-0100. The board has a label from the Institute adhered to the bottom left hand corner of the watercolor with "Aid to lessons 41, 42a, 42b, and 43" typed in red.
